Does Carver have health benefits? Carver Construction offers several distinct health plans with varying contribution levels.
Does Carver work year round? Yes, for the most part. We are *always* closed the week of Christmas through New Year as well as Thanksgiving and "Black Friday". Most positions are not laid off and are paid through those holidays. All federal holidays (that we do not work) are paid for most full time employees, unless otherwise discussed at the time of hire.
Does Carver offer paid sick time? Yes, 5 paid sick days are included yearly. These days do not carry over. Under most circumstances, hospital stays and serious sick time is paid in full, regardless of remaining sick days.
Do you give bonuses? Performance bonuses are given for large paving projects or, through the year, for exceptional dedication.
Does Carver offer paid vacation? Yes. 40 Hours of paid vacation is given for each full year of employment, up to three years. Vacation hours are often given as part of performance bonuses. Unused vacation may be cashed in, if done by October of each year.
What is your pay information? Pay is depending on experience, but usually starts around $18 per hour and goes up from there. Some positions are salaried and in some circumstances, employees may be guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees are paid every Friday.
